2nd May 2007 Windsurfing: Farmoor Reservoir Wind Direction: NE Wind Stength: F4 Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: 20 Sea Temperature: ? Weather: Gusty offshore Max Speed: Distance Covered: Started off with the 9m but the gusts were too much for it - very unconfortable and believe it or not difficult to get planing. Switched to 7.6m and changed the fin and all was good. Nicely powered up and sail felt nice and light. Planing most of the time. Lots of fun as I haven\'t been out for a while. This wind direction at Farmoor is pretty awful as it is offshore where you launch and massively gusty, wind doesn\'t even know which direction it is blowing. Once you get out to about halfway, all is good though. Bit of a battle getting back too when you are done. |
